BahnRadWege Stormarn

Following the route of three decommissioned railway lines you can explore the charming landscape of the Stormarn district. The trail is lined by historic train station buildings and goods and engine sheds reminiscent of days gone by.

Scenic landscapes along the railway lines

The well-kept trails lead you by dense woods, extensive lakes and designated nature conservation sites. Information boards at the wayside provide travellers with insights into the history of these former railway tracks.

Suggested route for a one-day tour: 44 km to Bad Oldesloe and back 

Your round trip starts in the easily reachable town of Bad Oldesloe with its green spa park. From here you follow Route B in the southern direction along the tracks of the Prussian State Railroad. On your way to Trittau, you can take a little detour to the village of Grönwohld with its historic Drahtmühle building dating back to the early 17th century. Your journey finally leads you to Trittau, where you will begin your journey back to Bad Oldesloe.

  • Special features: Information boards at the wayside with facts and figures on the former railway lines • excellent connection by rail
